Both situations are very different, but both situations would be why you might consider Fast Track BIO.

Fast Track BIO (BIO 203) is a summer course offered from July 26th to August 20th that allows you to focus only on biology. It is an intense, 6 credit hours course that is equivalent to General Biology I (BIO 201; 4 credit hours) and General Biology II (BIO 202; 4 credit hours) that are offered during the fall and spring semesters. It is a team-taught course that allows the faculty to teach the area of their specialization, and it allows you to get to know more of AU Biology.

Fast Track BIO, as a combination of BIO 201 and BIO 202, covers an introduction to the fundamentals of biological organization and processes with an emphasis on diversity of organisms, the variety of ways they have adapted to meet the requirements for living, and how they interact with their environment and other organisms. Biological organization is then introduced at the cellular level by covering the chemical basis of life, cell structure and function, and genetics.
